Weekend Sports Wrap-up

On Saturday, April 9, the HS boys were out enjoying the lovely weather at 2 different venues. The baseball team played Marist in their first game of the season. The Flames came out on top 25-15, leading most of the way with some good base-running and timely hits. There was lots to learn from the afternoon game, but Coach Harii was quite happy with the overall play of the guys who were there.

A group of the boys from the championship soccer team did very well in the SOIS futsal tournament, placing third. While the hosts were the clear favorite in the field of 8 teams, the Flames were able to play well and tie the SOIS A team in regulation 4-4. In the penalty shoot-out, the Flames bested the Sabers and earned themselves the third place victory. Once again, Andy Wilson scored the most goals in a tournament. This time, he netted 11 goals, earning him another Golden Boot award to match the one from last month's WJAA tourney.

Great job all around, guys!
