Both HS Volleyball teams finish their seasons with trophies

KIUA Sports's picture

The Flames completed the WJAA volleyball season on October 10. The girls played in Nagoya winning 3rd place, while the boys played against Marist for the championship in front of family and friends at Yamashiro Kinrosha Fukushi Kaikan.
The guys beat CA in 2 sets in the semi-finals to meet Marist in the final. Neither team had lost a match during the two-day tournament, but Marist proved to be the stronger team during the match, winning in 2 straight sets. The junior varsity team had the opportunity to play in the tournament as well when one other school cancelled.
Thank you to all the family members, students and staff who supported the team and helped make it a great event!
